At MIX Recording Studio, every session is supported by a working sound engineer who handles the miking, the level rides, the take captures, and the final mix. Our engineering staff includes Grammy-nominated professionals with credits across hip-hop, R&B, pop, Latin, rock, EDM, and country, and the studio was selected as the production location for MTV's "Becoming a Popstar."
You don't need to bring your own engineer. We have the people, the gear, and the rooms ready when you book.
What you get: Tracking sessions (Neumann U87, Audix DP7 drum pack, Universal Audio Apollo, Empirical Labs Distressor); mixing and mastering including certified Dolby Atmos; ADR and voiceover with picture-lock playback; dedicated drum recording room.
Engineering tiers: Advanced Engineer from $30/hr for standard sessions, multi-genre experienced. Elite Engineer from $40/hr for major-label-credited engineers, complex mixing, Dolby Atmos production, ADR. Engineer rate is on top of studio rental rate.
Self-directed sessions: If you bring your own engineer or run the session yourself, MIX self-directed studio rental starts from $55/hr (prepaid packages of 16, 30, or 50 hours available). 3-hour minimum.
DAWs supported: Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio. Session files delivered via secure transfer (WAV stems + project file).
MIX Recording Studio is a certified Dolby Atmos mixing and mastering facility. Spatial audio production is delivered for streaming platforms including Apple Music, Amazon Music Unlimited, and TIDAL. Sessions are tracked at 44.1 kHz / 24-bit (or higher on request) and delivered as WAV stems or finished masters.
Engineering services include music recording, mixing, mastering, Dolby Atmos production, voiceover recording (audiobooks, ADR, commercial VO, animation, e-learning, IVR), podcast studio rental, drum recording sessions, and on-site photo and video production.

Advanced Engineer
Dylan Kinker started his journey in music production and recording at 18. After studying Jazz Performance at Florida State University, he moved to Los Angeles in 2018 to pursue a career in the music industry. Initially mixing live performances for local bands, Dylan soon returned to the studio to focus on production and engineering. Since then, he has collaborated with artists such as Beach Peach, Peach Riot, Omar Apollo, and BROCKHAMPTON, while also creating solo work under the name Kinker.
